National Programmes Training Specialist

Location: Home based with occasional travel across England
Temporary: Permanent with funding until 31/03/2028
Working hours: 28 hours per week (with option for additional hours as required by The Children's Society).
Salary: £35,100 per annum (£28,080 actual salary)

The Children’s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We deliver essential local services that provide safe, trusted support to children and young people during times of significant need.
This role sits within our Youth Impact Domain, which works to provide support for children and young people. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services around the country.
We are currently looking for a motivated and innovative individual to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
A key part of this role will be your ability to develop and oversee a portfolio of training packages in relation to our areas of subject matter expertise (e.g. young carers, exploitation, emotional health and wellbeing and challenging gender stereotypes).
The key responsibilities for this role are:
Identify training needs: Collaborate and use data to inform training and understand intended outcome/measures.
Design training: Using a variety of methods to ensure it is accessible and relevant for the audience.
Promote training: Identify and recruit key stake holders to engage in training programmes.
Deliver training: Support others in delivery, or personally deliver training to wide range of target audiences.
Evaluate training: Capture feedback and data to consistently review if training requires adjustments and provide detailed reports and statistical data.
The required skills and competencies are:
Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting children, young people and families
Strong training and facilitation skills both in person and online
Exceptional IT skills with an ability to adapt to new programmes and technology
Highly effective project management skills
