Tangle are recruiting an experienced & passionate freelance Marketing and Communications Manager to oversee all our marketing & external communications as a touring theatre company championing African and Caribbean artististic excellence. This is a part time, 4 days per month(8 hrs/day) remote role.
Job Description
Tangle is recruiting a Marketing & Communications Manager - a freelance role in the core team.
We're seeking someone who can bring their skills, experience and drive as we move into a new stage. The Marketing & Communications Manager oversees all marketing and external communications, from creating and strategising to delivering company wide and project specific marketing campaigns. They also manage Tangle's website, monthly e-newsletters and social media campaigns to promote and raise awareness on Tangle's events, artist development schemes, productions and company updates.
The Marketing & Communications Manager also supports senior management on reporting for Arts Council England (by inputting data on Illuminate) and other funders.

Job Requirements
Demonstrable experience in an arts marketing and/or communications role
Commitment to Tangle's mission and values
Knowledge of marketing and communications practice and those specific to the theatre / performing arts sectors
Experience managing digital and non-digital marketing & advertising
Social media content proficiency and managing online platforms, specifically Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
Website management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative, "can do" attitude and willingness to help out as required
Willingness to work from home and attend meetings in person (usually in Swindon or London) as needed
A proactive person, maintaining accuracy under pressure
Experience using Canva or other graphic design programmes
Experience of funder reporting including Arts Council England Illuminate
Experience of using Squarespace, Mailchimp and Microsoft Sharepoint
Managing marketing campaigns on tour and London
Collaboration with PR specialists
Job Responsibilities
Management of all marketing and external communications for Tangle including:
Marketing & communication strategies
Management and delivery of Marketing campaigns for individual projects and events
Formulation and delivery of audience development plans
Appointing and supervision, in consultation with Tangle's management, of specialist staff, including graphic designers, videographers, photographers and PR specialists
Management of online resources
Online marketing and communications
Supervise upkeep, general performance and development of the website using Squarespace
Production and distribution of e-newsletters using Mailchimp
Oversee regular and appropriate use of social media sites
Digital advertising
Social media assets and templates
Compliance & Reporting
Stakeholder reporting, e.g. ACE Illuminate
Adherance to GDPR and Data Protection policies
Publications & Print
Conceptualising and Designing creative briefs
