Location: Home based with occasional UK-wide travel when required.

Working hours: 35 per week (9-5 Monday to Friday)

Salary: £29,366 - £34,548 pa depending on experience (geographical allowance my apply)

    Our access-focused grant-making plays a vital role in enabling the charity to achieve its strategic ambition to make DofE more accessible than ever before. To date, our access grants have supported over 590 new organisations to begin running the DofE and enabled over 37,000 young people to start their Award. 

    Working within the UK Strategic Programmes (UKSP) directorate, this role will support our access-focused grant-making, working closely with the wider UKSP and UK Operations teams. This strand of our grant-making provides pump-prime grant funding to newly Licensed Organisations supporting them to start offering DofE to the young people they work with. 

    The UKSP team lead the DofE’s grant-making, sector innovation and business development, helping translate ideas into income and tangible impact.

    What we are looking for:

    You will be an effective Grants Officer with a passion for supporting young people and giving them the best opportunities in life. You will have exemplary stakeholder management skills and the ability to support multiple grant programmes simultaneously.

    You will have excellent attention to detail, experience developing and managing monitoring processes, with a track record of successfully managing competing deadlines.
    Extensive expertise in overseeing Microsoft and CRM data to facilitate informed decision-making processes and shape decision outcomes effectively.  

    You will work in a dynamic and driven team, supporting the design, development, and implementation of significant grant-making funds, increasing access, and giving more young people the opportunity to benefit from the DofE.

    You will be an enthusiastic, collaborative individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and can drive large-scale grant programmes forward.

(e.g. DBS/PVG or similar), including references covering any gaps of employment/education, confirm eligibility to work in the UK and complete a health check.
    **The geographical allowance is based on a member of staff having a home or office-based postcode within 30 miles (as the crow flies) from Charing Cross, WC2N 5HS. The allowance is 7% capped at £4,000 per annum.
