Housing Ombudsman Specialist

Recruitment Agency: hireful

Location: This is a fully remote role where you can make a tangible impact from day one. Or, if you enjoy going to an office, then you can go to the office in Stockton-on-Tees as much as you like each week.

Temporary: 3-month contract

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000/annum Negotiable DOE

  • We are looking for an immediately available Housing Ombudsman portal specialist to join the team at this national social housing provider, for a critical 3-month contract

Your primary focus will be to "steady the ship" by taking full ownership of the Housing Ombudsman portal.

There is an upcoming audit, so an expert is needed who can dive straight into the system, rectify historical data gaps, and ensure case management is beyond reproach.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Log, manage, and audit all cases within the Housing Ombudsman portal, ensuring absolute data integrity.

    • Collaborate across the business to gather robust evidence and compile high-quality case histories.

    • Proactively identify gaps in current records and mitigate risks ahead of our regulatory audit.

    • Manage all completion dates and chasers to ensure 100% compliance with Ombudsman timeframes.

    • Act as the professional first point of contact for the Housing Ombudsman Service.

    What you need:

    • You are someone who has "lived" in the Housing Ombudsman portal and understands its nuances.

    • You have a deep, demonstrable understanding of the Housing Ombudsman Code and social housing regulations.

    • You don’t just use the portal; you understand how to troubleshoot it and manage cases within it effectively.

    • Your attention to detail is your greatest strength—essential for gathering evidence and producing favourable outcomes.

    • You can influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels to get the information you need, fast.

    Why you'll love this job:

    • This is a fully remote role where you can make a tangible impact from day one.

    • Or, if you enjoy going to an office, then you can go to the Bradford office as much as you like each week.

    • Salary negotiable depending on your skills and experience, but we're looking somewhere circa £30-40k

If you have racked up some extensive experience working with the Housing Ombudsman portal, and are immediately available for a temp contract role, then I want to hear from you. Apply today!
