Technical Support Officer - Building Control
Fully Remote
£32,000 per annumPanoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority to facilitate the appointment of a Technical Support Officer to support the Building Control service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator/support professional with Building Control knowledge to join a busy, customer-facing team and help ensure applications, enquiries and case administration are managed efficiently and compliantly.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Providing technical/business support to the Building Control team, ensuring efficient day-to-day administration of the service.
Logging, processing and administering Building Control applications, notices and related documentation.
Managing the Building Control inbox and responding to customer, contractor and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Supporting the scheduling and coordination of inspections, meetings and site visits, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Updating internal systems/CRM and maintaining accurate case files, correspondence, and compliance records.
Liaising with internal departments and external partners (residents, agents, contractors, developers) to obtain information and resolve queries.
Assisting with the production of completion documentation and general service reporting where required.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Experience in a technical support/administration role within Building Control (or a closely related regulatory/technical environment).
Strong knowledge of Building Control processes, documentation, and customer service standards.
Confidence managing high volumes of enquiries, prioritising workload and working to deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and case notes on internal systems.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
