The Active Care Group are dedicated to harnessing the power of data to drive informed decision-making. We are seeking a talented SQL Developer to join our dynamic team and assist our efforts in data visualisation and reporting.
As a SQL/Snowflake Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our data warehouse by ensuring data integrity and developing efficient SQL queries and scripts.
What you'll be doing:
Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions
Optimize database performance by fine-tuning SQL queries and data storage strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly
Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information
Create and update database documentation, including data dictionaries and schema diagrams
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in SQL development
What you'll have:
Proven experience as an SQL Developer
Strong Proficiency in SQL query writing and optimization
Familiarity with relational database management systems e.g., SQL Server
Experience with Snowflake
Knowledge of database design principles and normalisation
Experience with data modelling and schema design
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Certification in SQL development
Experience with ELT/ETL processes
Familiarity with data warehousing modelling patterns
Familiarity writing JavaScript stored procedures for legacy procedures.
Knowledge of version control systems
Understanding of database security best practices
