We're looking for a Shopify Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering ecommerce platforms, customer-facing products and business-critical systems.
This is a genuinely fully remote UK role where you'll have the autonomy to own solutions, solve complex problems and help shape the future of a rapidly evolving technology platform.
While Shopify is at the heart of the role, you'll also work across a modern engineering stack including React and Python.
What you'll be doing
• Build, enhance and optimise Shopify stores, integrations and applications
• Develop software using Shopify, React and Python
• Work across customer-facing products and internal platforms
• Design scalable, maintainable and reliable solutions
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Data and Platform teams
• Take ownership from discovery through to production delivery
• Contribute to technical decisions and engineering improvements
What we're looking for
• Strong commercial Shopify development experience
• Experience within an ecommerce, agency or consultancy environment
• Strong React development experience
• Commercial Python experience
• Experience building production software and integrations
• Strong understanding of APIs and third-party services
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Someone who enjoys ownership and accountability
Nice to have
• Shopify Plus experience
• Shopify app development experience
• CI/CD and deployment experience
• Monitoring and observability tools
• Experience working within agile engineering teams
