  • Seasalt began in 1981 with a small shop in Penzance, selling workwear to local mariners and practical overalls to artists. Today, we’ve grown into a thriving omnichannel retailer with over 80 UK and Ireland stores, 400+ wholesale stockists, and a growing international and online footprint.

As a B Corp and winner of both Drapers “Best Place to Work” and CIPD’s “Best Recognition Programme”, we care deeply about our people, our communities and our long-term impact. With a focus on maximising sales and gross profit, you’ll drive in-season trading across retail, partner, and wholesale channels, working closely with Logistics to optimise stock allocation and replenishment. You’ll also develop the Channel Merchandising team, enhancing processes, structure, and resources to support continued business growth.

    • Collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Logistics, and Channel teams to share insight and support trading decisions.

    • Working with the Director of Partnerships and Finance to ensure wholesale growth ambitions are constructively scrutinised, setting a reliable framework for the merchandising teams to buy.

    • Taking responsibility for the seasonal wholesale buy budgets, including creating department and category forecasts to produce the MFP, and producing validated weekly sales and profit forecasts within the budget and reforecast process.

    • Taking responsibility for wholesale within the monthly review with the Chief Trading Officer, Director of Merchandising, and the senior Finance team, reporting current and future season stock and sales positions.

    • Working with the Director of Partnerships and Director of Retail to ensure effective clearance options to sell terminal stock.

    • Building a proactive Channel Merchandising team, providing positive and energised leadership that supports company strategy, policy, and motivates the team.

    • Building strong relationships with the merchandising leadership team and Retail, Partners, Sales and Operations team to constantly review and improve processes to drive accuracy and efficiency as the business grows in size and complexity.

    • Actively seeking situations where Channel Merchandising input is required to influence business projects or new initiatives, communicating effectively and collaboratively with key contacts across the business.

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
