To deliver high-quality teaching, coaching and curriculum that enables apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) required to operate effectively as Safeguarding Support Officers across public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
Key responsibilities
To deliver structured teaching aligned to Safeguarding Support Officer KSBs:
Safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and organisational policy
Child and adult safeguarding procedures
Risk assessment, reporting and referrals
Professional record keeping and information management
Multi-agency safeguarding practice
Professional boundaries, confidentiality and ethical practice
To facilitate development of:
Professional judgement
Communication and interpersonal skills

To support apprentices to:Build portfolios of workplace evidence
