This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who is passionate about continuous improvement, coaching others, and embedding a culture of learning across diverse services.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with the Safeguarding Lead, operational managers and colleagues across our Quality and Innovation team, you will:
Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding concerns, including those relating to substance use, domestic abuse, mental health and other complex needs.
Review and quality assure safeguarding cases to ensure best practice and effective decision-making.
Carry out safeguarding audits, identify trends and make recommendations that improve service quality.
Support operational teams through coaching, mentoring and practical guidance to strengthen safeguarding practice.
Contribute to training programmes and promote a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
Support Serious Incident Reviews, monitor recommendations and help embed learning across services.
Analyse safeguarding data and contribute to performance reporting and quality improvement initiatives.
About you
We're looking for someone who brings:
Experience of safeguarding adults and/or children within health, social care or related services.
A strong understanding of complex needs, including substance use, domestic abuse and mental health.
Experience of quality assurance, auditing and service improvement.
Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
The confidence to coach, influence and build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to interpret data to drive improvement.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable people and supporting colleagues to deliver excellent, safe services.
