As a Resource Manager in our Employment, Skills and Training (EST) team, you’ll support our operational delivery by managing colleague capability to support delivery plan commitments, encompassing safeguarding, personal development, health, safety and colleague wellbeing. You will support delivery of high‑quality learning and skills programmes that support learners, employers and communities. Your work will directly contribute to creating positive pathways for colleagues across apprenticeships, adult learning and employability training.
You’ll join a growing, future‑focused team committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for citizens and employers. By coordinating delivery resources across apprenticeships, adult learning, and employability programmes, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our colleagues have the support, systems and planning needed to deliver excellent learner experiences.
What you’ll do as a Resource Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:
Management of resource to provide colleague numbers aligned to requirements of delivery plans for Serco Citizen Services, to meet operational, and commissioners regulatory, quality and compliance targets.
Operational support management of tutors, trainers and coaches for the delivery of Apprenticeships, Adult, Commercial, Horizontal and Employability courses, contributing to planning and policy formation, implementation, and evaluation.
Manage planning, recruitment and selection, consumption and utilisation, welfare and motivation of individuals within the team, supporting learning and development of direct reports to improve performance and job satisfaction and ensuring that Serco values are embedded through the implementation of effective performance management processes
Management of people to ensure safeguarding, prevent and learner welfare.

Experience of resource management of, Apprenticeship programmes, Commercial training programmes, employability and adult programmes
Minimum L5 Diploma in Education and training (or equivalent or working towards in line with experience above)
Experience of delivery management in adult vocational and employment programmes
