    We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our team within Transportation Infrastructure at Amey. 

     

    In this role, you will provide end‑to‑end procurement leadership across rail and highways projects, supporting the safe, reliable and sustainable delivery of critical transport infrastructure that keeps communities and the economy moving. 

     

    You will work closely with operational, commercial and bid teams to develop compliant, value‑driven supply chain solutions, operating across complex, highly regulated environments. Your work will directly support the performance, safety and long‑term resilience of nationally important transport assets. 

     

    You’ll be trusted to manage procurement activity from bid stage through mobilisation and into live operations, balancing commercial outcomes with regulatory, health & safety and operational demands. 

     

    What you will be doing 

    • Leading procurement activity across major rail and highways commissions, bids and frameworks 

    • Supporting projects through the full lifecycle, from early supplier engagement and tendering to mobilisation and delivery 

    • Developing and implementing sourcing and category strategies aligned to Transportation Infrastructure priorities 

    • Managing supplier selection, evaluation and negotiation to achieve best value, resilience and compliance 

    • Working collaboratively with commercial and operational teams to execute supply chain contracts 

    • Supporting compliance with rail, highways and health & safety legislation 

    • Managing supplier performance and contributing to continuous improvement across the supply chain 

    • Reporting on procurement performance, cost savings and value outcomes 

     

    What you will bring 

    Essential 

    • Infrastructure procurement experience 

    • Proven experience procuring construction, engineering or infrastructure maintenance services 

    • Confidence operating in complex, regulated environments with multiple stakeholders 

    Desirable 

    • Experience working on rail or highways frameworks 

    • Category management experience within transport or infrastructure 

    • SAP or similar enterprise procurement systems 

    • CIPS membership or working towards
