Peer Aid Coordinator
Betknowmore UK are looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive individual with lived experience of gambling harm to help coordinate our national Peer Aid service, support volunteers and contribute to the ongoing development of recovery-focused support.
At Betknowmore UK, we work to prevent and reduce gambling-related harm through support, education, training and community engagement. As our Peer Aid Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of peer-led recovery services for people affected by gambling harm.
We're looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive individual with lived experience of gambling harm to help coordinate our national Peer Aid service, support volunteers and contribute to the ongoing development of recovery-focused support.
Working closely with the Peer Aid Support Manager, you'll help ensure high standards of person-centred support, volunteer engagement, safeguarding and quality assurance across the service. While the role supports all aspects of Peer Aid delivery, there will be a particular focus on coordinating and facilitating recovery-focused group sessions, supporting volunteers delivering group-based support, and helping to create safe, engaging and inclusive spaces for people affected by gambling harm.
What you'll be doing
Coordinating and supporting Peer Aid volunteers across the service
Supporting volunteer onboarding, supervision and ongoing development
Facilitating and coordinating recovery-focused group sessions
Supporting the safe and effective delivery of peer-led support services
Maintaining accurate records and monitoring information
Promoting safeguarding, quality assurance and best practice across the service
Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of Peer Aid services
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support positive outcomes for people affected by gambling harm
What we're looking for
We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:
Lived experience of gambling harm, either personally or as an affected other
Experience supporting, coordinating or supervising volunteers
Experience facilitating groups, workshops or peer support sessions
A strong understanding of peer support and recovery-focused approaches
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and administrative skills
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Experience within the charity, health, social care or lived experience sectors would be advantageous, as would knowledge of safeguarding, recovery communities and gambling-related harm.

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
