    About Home-Start UK

Home-Start is a federated charity consisting of a central national office – Home-Start UK - and over 170 geographically dispersed local Home-Start organisations, all working together under the same identity.

We recognise that being a parent has never been easy. Every Home-Start volunteer is trained to work alongside parents to overcome the challenges they are facing. We work with parents to build on their strengths and give them the support that they tell us they need. We offer no judgement – just compassionate, confidential help and expert support. This peer-to-peer support is key to the difference Home-Start makes and often our volunteers have lived experience of the challenges their families are facing themselves.

    About The Role

This is a multifaceted role, sits in the Learning and Development Team (L&D) in Home-Start UK and is integral in supporting our network of local Home-Starts (LHS) by developing high-quality learning and development offers to enable LHS to support children and families across the UK. This role’s principal function is, but not exclusively, to project manage the development, and maintenance of a new Knowledge Centre that offers a wide range of informative resources, tool kits, templates, and alternative means of learning to enable the work of the wider Home-Start network. The Knowledge Centre is a partner platform to our online Learning Centre whilst the focus of this role is the Knowledge Centre, developing a coherent relationship with the Learning Centre content will be important. Working with Subject Matter Experts, the L&D Team and colleagues across the organisation you will be the main point of contact for project management, content curation, development, and creation across a range of subjects aligned to Home-Starts quality standards. The Learning Content Coordinator role combines learning and development knowledge with platform development (similar to any block editor platform), and graphic design.

We are a flexible and family-friendly employer with genuine commitment to building equity, diversity and inclusion. If there are any ways we can make this opportunity more accessible for you to apply or to be successful, please do reach out for a conversation.
