Salary: £30,000 plus £3,000 car allowance

    About the Role

    The L&D Trainer plays a vital role in supporting colleagues across Outcomes First Group by delivering high-quality, engaging and compliant training. This role focuses on ensuring colleagues understand their statutory responsibilities, organisational policies, and best-practice standards, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety delivery.

    Working closely with operational teams, Learning & Development colleagues, and the Health & Safety function, the L&D Trainer helps embed a positive safety culture, reduce workplace risks, and continuously improve training effectiveness across a geographically dispersed organisation.

    This is a remote, home-based role with national travel required to deliver face-to-face training.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Deliver high-quality training sessions both face-to-face and virtually, using effective adult-learning methodologies

    • Deliver Health & Safety training aligned to NEBOSH principles and organisational requirements

    • Provide training on mandatory Health & Safety topics, including: Risk assessment, Fire safety, Manual handling, Incident reporting, Workplace hazards and controls, Personal safety and wellbeing, First Aid

    • Ensure accurate completion of attendance lists and training administration using the Learning Management System (LMS)

    • Build strong relationships with operational colleagues to understand local risks, training needs, and safety priorities

    • Collaborate with the L&D Content team and Health & Safety colleagues to develop, review, and update training materials

    • Evaluate training effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend continuous improvements

    • Act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance on safe working practices

    • Support organisational projects, including audits, compliance reviews, and change initiatives requiring Health & Safety input

    Essential experience & skills

    • Experience delivering engaging and effective training to diverse audiences

    • Experience delivering mandatory training or similar learning programmes

    • Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills

    • Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to adapt to different learning styles

    • CIPD Level 3, Award in Education & Training (AET), or equivalent

    • Ability and willingness to travel nationally for face-to-face training delivery

    • Full UK driving licence

    • Experience working within education, care, or similarly regulated environments

    • High levels of accuracy, organisation and professionalism

    Desirable

    • NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards) or another recognised Health & Safety qualification

    • First Aid Instructor qualification

    • Experience delivering Health & Safety training

    • Understanding of health and safety legislation, risk management and safe working practices

    • Knowledge of Ofsted, ISI, or sector-specific compliance standards
