We are looking to recruit staff to join our sessional pool, to deliver on our brand new WEA Learn courses. WEA Learn is an innovative way to access our vibrant Cultural Learning programme - such as History, Art Appreciation, Politics, Nature/Environment and popular culture courses online.
We want enthusiastic, passionate tutors who can offer fresh perspectives and new ways to explore cultural learning themes online!
Job Description
As a Sessional Tutor, on our WEA Learn courses, you will provide engaging teaching and learning online, with a creative and supportive approach to learning.
You will be an expert in your subject and passionate about the delivery. Adapting to a range of learning styles, whilst ensuring you provide the highest possible quality teaching and learning to a group of learners.
As a Sessional Tutor, you should have:
A passion for adult education and making a difference!
A strong team work ethic. We like to collaborate and support each other.
Demonstrable experience of delivering quality online teaching and learning – bringing the subject to life for a range of learners using online tools and techniques.
Curiosity and and a desire to experiment - we have big ambitions
Experience of design and implementation of innovative learning, schemes of work and lesson plans.
Teaching qualification (PCGE, CertEd, DET or equivalent), level 5 specialism (if you have IQA and Assessor qualifications that would be advantageous)
Experience of working with adults who may face multiple barriers to lifelong learning.
Strong working knowledge of OFSTEDs Education Inspection Framework.
