    Job Purpose: 

    The Insight Lead is responsible for delivering high quality performance insight, analysis and modelling across a defined portfolio of contracts or operational areas. The role acts as a key link between Business Intelligence, Performance, Operations, Finance, Commercial and Planning teams, ensuring performance trends, risks and opportunities are clearly understood and supported by robust evidence.

    You will produce accurate, actionable insight and contribute to forecasting, scenario modelling and impact assessments that support operational and commercial decision making. Working closely with the Senior Insight Lead, you will help shape how insight is used to understand performance and drive continuous improvement.

      

    Accountabilities:

    1. Deliver high quality performance insight across a portfolio of contracts, including deep dive analysis, identification of risks and opportunities, and examination of internal and external cross supplier trends.

    2. Identify and ensure that KPIs are monitored and acted upon by the appropriate manager in a timely manner, escalating ongoing performance concerns to ensure remedial action is taken to maintain a positive customer experience.

    3. Develop scenario based analysis modelling to inform operational performance planning, glidepaths, commercial decisions and financial assumptions.

    4. Act as a trusted SME and Insight partner for colleagues across Operations, BI, Finance, Commercial, Planning and Performance, ensuring consistent interpretation of data and performance drivers. Support Business Intelligence with UAT activities to ensure reporting products accurately reflect operational needs. Contribute to maintaining consistent logic, definitions and interpretation by users.

    5. Produce clear, accessible insight through written reports, presentations and ad hoc analysis, ensuring outputs are actionable, well structured and audience appropriate.

    6. Coordinate and contribute to impact analysis related to operational change, legislative change, commercial activities, quality actions or transformation programmes, ensuring findings are clearly documented.

    7. Identify analytical or process efficiencies, contribute to improvement initiatives and adopt best practice techniques to strengthen insight quality across the Performance & Insight function.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential

    • Background in Insight/Analysis/Performance, contract delivery or service operations.

    • Ability to interpret operational data to identify root causes, risks and opportunities. 

    • Experience scenario modelling and impact analysis. 

    • Strong stakeholder management skills.

    • Strong demonstrable Excel and/or PowerBI analysis skills 

    Desirable

    • Experience in outsourced or regulated contract environments. 

    • Understanding of public sector KPIs or commissioner expectations. 

    • Experience in Operational performance

    • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.
