The Vacancy
We are seeking to recruit a HR & Payroll Administrator to complete HR and payroll transactional duties as part of the payroll team and deliver outstanding customer service delivery to our HR and Payroll clients.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for Payroll administration ensuring all correspondence/instructions are responded to in a professional and timely manner and within Service Level Agreements
Conduct quality checks including reviewing and analysing payroll reports raising issues in accordance with the escalation process
Responsible for maintaining the payroll processing system and records by inputting, calculating and checking data.
To process new starters, leavers and variations and absences on the HR/payroll & Pension systems in accordance with the payroll timetable
Process the monthly payroll to ensure the prompt and accurate administration of all HR Payroll and Pension related payments and deductions
Maintaining the group email box, allocating tasks, and responding to emails on a daily basis
To be the first point of contact for queries raised by clients responding in a timely manner and in line with our client SLA’s
Run standard reports from the payroll system, ensuring the quality of the output of the data.
Process monthly/annual pension report data including starters, leavers, and transfers in a timely manner
Working within a team environment to ensure customer excellence and accurate, quality delivery.
Support HRP projects where required
Input into continual improvement initiatives
Essential Skills and Attributes:
A minimum of one year’s payroll experience using a computerised payroll system, preferably Oracle Fusion or iTrent
Educated to GCSE level or above with English and Maths, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Excellent IT skills in MS Word, Excel
Apply meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Good oral/written communication and numeracy skills
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met
Proactive and enthusiastic approach to tasks and learning
Security vetting and checks:
All successful candidates must meet the government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
External candidates: The BPSS includes a basic criminal record check (for unspent convictions). There will also be an Adverse Financial Check (AFC) which will be renewed annually. An Adverse Finance Check looks for CCJs, IVAs, bankruptcies, Scottish decrees, or Administration Orders.
Internal candidates: An annual adverse finance check will be required.
If you do not meet these requirements, your offer may be withdrawn.
