Hungry Minds is looking for a hands-on Head of Operations (COO-light) with solid e-commerce experience to own and scale our operational backbone. This role focuses on execution, process building, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring that our e-commerce business runs smoothly as we grow.
Responsibilities
Own and manage day-to-day operations across the Hungry Minds e-commerce business
Build, document, and optimize operational processes end to end
Oversee the full order lifecycle: purchase, fulfillment, delivery, returns, and customer support coordination
Manage logistics, suppliers, and external operational partners
Ensure strong alignment between Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Customer Support
Translate company goals into operational plans, KPIs, and execution priorities
Monitor operational efficiency, costs, and unit economics
Identify operational bottlenecks and risks and resolve them proactively
Support launches, campaigns, and growth initiatives from an operational perspective
Prepare clear operational reporting for founders and leadership
Requirements
7+ years of experience in operations, ideally within e-commerce
Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, fulfillment, logistics, and returns
Experience working with e-commerce platforms and operational tools
Hands-on mindset with the ability to structure and scale processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Data-driven approach and experience working with KPIs
Fluent English and strong communication skills
Nice to have
Experience in DTC or international e-commerce
Exposure to CRO, funnels, or performance marketing from an operational angle
Experience scaling operations in a fast-growing company
