You will be part of Scotland’s leading health charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid to live life to the full again. Our Community Healthcare Support Service provides access to a range of supported self management and community recovery services to support people across Scotland to manage their health as well as possible and adjust to life after a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition or after a stroke.
The Policy and Research Officer role supports our Policy and Public Affairs Manager and our Strategic Political Advisor to deliver research focused engagement work.
This role will prioritise CHSS’s key policy asks, ensuring they are grounded in evidence-based research, and communicated in suitable formats for parliamentarians and other key stakeholders. You will support the organisations development of policy positions and responses to consultations. You will also play a vital role in developing and writing CHSS’s research reports. The role will support the team’s representation at meetings with external stakeholders, including but not limited to political party conferences, meetings with the Scottish Government, MSPs, MPs, and third sector colleagues.
