Location: Home based within the UK, with regular travel across Scotland, England and Wales, including semi-regular travel to National Office team days. Occasional international travel will also be required.
Working hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Reduced hours may be considered, but no fewer than 28 hours per week.
Salary: £62,000–£65,000, depending on experience. Pro rata if hours are reduced.

As we enter an exciting new chapter, we are looking for an outstanding Director of Operations to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role for a strategic and values-driven leader who can strengthen our organisation, drive operational excellence and help us deliver even greater impact for athletes, families and communities.
Working closely with our Chief Executive, Board of Trustees and wider movement, you will lead organisational performance across governance, people, systems, planning and delivery, ensuring Special Olympics GB is resilient, ambitious and fit for the future.
As Executive Lead for Safeguarding and Welfare, you will also champion a culture in which the wellbeing, safety and dignity of every athlete remain at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for someone who combines significant senior leadership experience with a strong track record of organisational development and operational excellence. You will understand governance, compliance, finance, risk management and safeguarding, and be able to translate strategic ambition into effective delivery and sustainable growth.
Above all, you will be an empathetic and accountable leader who builds strong relationships, influences with credibility and integrity, and shares our commitment to creating more inclusive communities through the power of sport.
