Digital Marketing Manager

Employer: Storm Publishing

Location: UK, home-based role.

Working hours: Flexible working hours.

Salary: £40-45k

Closing date: 26th June 2026.

  • About the role

This is your chance to take the reins of digital marketing at one of publishing’s fastest-growing start-ups. As our Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll own our paid advertising across Amazon and Meta, lead our promotions, social, and email strategies, and build the marketing plans that turn great books into bestsellers.

Innovation sits at the core of the role: you’ll constantly seek new ways to expand our reach, grow audiences for our books, and bring our titles to more readers. Reporting to the Managing Director and managing our Marketing Assistant, you’ll combine hands-on campaign management with strategy, team leadership, and a relentless focus on ROI.

    What you’ll do

    •     Create and run our paid advertising across Meta and Amazon, meeting ROI targets and continually testing and optimising.

    •     Build marketing plans and campaigns for every release, including titles beyond our core digital programme.

    •     Lead on strategy, finding innovative new ways – including AI and automation – to reach more readers.

    •     Manage and develop our Marketing Assistant, setting clear priorities and high standards.

    •     Develop our email marketing, growing subscriber lists and driving sales of new releases.

    •     Oversee our organic social media strategy, design output, and book review outreach.

    •     Track the data and manage the marketing budget to keep our marketing efficient and our ROI strong.

    •     Own and plan our promotional programme, securing placements with Amazon, BookBub, and other partners.

    What we’re looking for

    • A data-driven marketer with strong analytical skills, comfortable working with ad data, sales data, and reporting tools.

    • Proven experience running successful paid digital advertising campaigns.

    • An innovator, driven to improve and find new, effective ways to reach more readers – including using AI and automation to make processes more efficient.

    • Experience managing or mentoring team members, or the readiness to step into a management role.

    • A strategic thinker who can set direction, build marketing plans, and devise creative campaigns.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities.

    What you’ll gain

A chance to take ownership of digital marketing at a forward-thinking publishing company and to shape how we bring our books to readers. At Storm, we combine data and creativity to make our marketing as effective as possible, and we’re not afraid of trying new things. You’ll work directly with authors, lead campaigns from planning through to execution, and see the immediate impact of your work on book sales and reader engagement – all while developing your leadership skills by managing and growing our marketing team.
