Leading Financial Services business is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6-7 Data Engineers delivering data products across core finance, ledger and back-office systems within a complex, regulated environment.
This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong modern data engineering expertise with a relentless focus on delivering measurable business value.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading, coaching and developing a team of 6-7 Data Engineers.
Delivering business-critical data products supporting finance and ledger platforms.
Partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate priorities into technical delivery.
Driving engineering standards, delivery, data quality and governance.
Ensuring the team focuses on business outcomes, not just technical outputs.
Skills/Experience:
Experience leading modern data engineering teams.
Strong technical knowledge of Snowflake, dbt and cloud data platforms.
Proven track record of delivering data solutions that create measurable business value, with a focus on outcomes rather than technical activity.
Experience delivering data solutions that create measurable business value.
Financial services, banking or insurance experience
Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with finance, ledger or back-office systems within a regulated environment (e.g. financial services, banking or insurance) is highly desirable.
