The team you'll join
You'll join our Customer Service team, a fast-paced and highly collaborative group that sits at the heart of the customer journey.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across the business, the team plays a vital role in ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, orders run smoothly, and customers receive the service they expect. No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that works together to solve problems, deliver results, and continually improve the customer experience.
A typical day:
Respond to customer enquiries and quotations within agreed service levels
Obtain supplier pricing and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
Manage customer orders from quote through to delivery and completion
Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the sales and fulfilment process
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Provide regular updates on quotations, lead times, deliveries, and order progress
Resolve customer queries and issues quickly, taking ownership through to completion
Monitor deliveries and proactively manage overdue orders to ensure positive customer outcomes
Maintain accurate records across multiple systems and CRM platforms
Manage and maintain a sales pipeline to support revenue growth opportunities
Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Ensure all documentation and records are accurate and compliant with company procedures
Prioritise workload effectively in a busy environment, balancing customer needs and business priorities
What you'll bring:
Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, account management, or operational coordination role
Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
Confidence working across multiple systems and learning new technology quickly
The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
Strong relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
It would be great if you also have:
Experience within equipment hire, construction, building materials, or a similar industry
Experience using CRM systems
Knowledge of HSS ProService products and services
An understanding of equipment, materials, or technical product specifications
