If you're ready to make a real difference and be part of a team that's creating positive change, we want you to join us. Let's build a brighter future for pets and their owners, together.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you'll take the lead on managing and optimising PDSA's contracts with suppliers and service providers. You'll oversee the full contract lifecycle, from sourcing and tendering through to implementation, performance management and renewal, ensuring our contracts deliver value, minimise risk and remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing
Leading supplier sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract negotiations.
Managing strategic supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service and value for money.
Supporting procurement activities and advising budget holders on best practice.
Monitoring supplier performance through regular contract review meetings.
Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
Ensuring contracts comply with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
Maintaining accurate contract records and reporting on supplier performance.
Leading and developing a small team while promoting continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced contract management professional with excellent commercial awareness and strong relationship-building skills. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, negotiating positive outcomes and driving improvements across procurement and supplier management.
You'll also have:
Proven experience managing contracts within a supply chain or procurement environment.
MCIPS qualification (or equivalent professional qualification).
Experience leading supplier negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships.
Strong understanding of procurement legislation, governance and contract compliance.
Experience working with procurement frameworks.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to analyse information, manage multiple priorities and deliver value for money.
Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
