The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Support Manager to lead our Business Support Team and provide high-quality support across the Operations directorate. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled manager who enjoys improving processes, developing people and ensuring senior leaders receive effective operational and administrative support.
As Business Support Manager, you will oversee a team of six business support professionals, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, consistently and to a high standard. You will also provide confidential PA and project support to the Director of Operations, helping to drive the smooth running of the directorate.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines team leadership, operational improvement and executive support. You'll work closely with operational leaders across the organisation to shape and strengthen business support services, while also providing trusted support to the Director of Operations. About You
You will bring significant experience of managing a business support, PA, administrative or operations support team, with the ability to plan, prioritise and monitor workloads across multiple workstreams. You will be confident supporting a senior leader or director in a confidential PA or business management capacity, exercising sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
You will have experience of developing, improving and monitoring administrative processes and service standards, using management information, workload data or service metrics to report on performance and improve delivery. Highly organised and adaptable, you will communicate clearly and accurately, solve problems effectively, and use Microsoft 365 and relevant organisational systems to support high-quality service delivery. You will be comfortable working from home with regular travel to the London office and attending meetings or events outside normal working arrangements when required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Business Support Team, ensuring a high-quality, responsive service across the Operations directorate.
Plan, prioritise and allocate resources to meet business needs and agreed service standards.
Provide confidential PA and administrative support to the Director of Operations, including diary, meeting and communications management.
Coordinate directorate governance activities, including meeting management, action tracking and risk register oversight.
Support projects, recruitment and onboarding activities across the directorate.
Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, promoting effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
Monitor team performance, identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure efficient ways of working.
