Role Outline:You will be be a key contributor to how we think about quality: hands-on writing and maintaining automated tests but also helping shape the strategy that ensures our test architecture scales as the product landscape evolves. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to make quality everyone's concern.
What you'll be doing:
As an Automation Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain end-to-end test suites in Playwright for our suite of web applications, while contributing to the migration of existing Cypress tests. You will write and maintain API tests in Postman, covering REST and legacy interfaces, and implement automated tests for non-functional areas such as accessibility, security, and performance. Working closely with developers in a shift-left model, you will help define the team’s test strategy, promote best practices, and mentor others. Additionally, you will contribute to tooling, frameworks, and test data management as part of an ambitious modernisation strategy.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer with previous of hands-on experience in a professional software environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright (or the ability to transition from Cypress/Selenium), solid API testing skills using tools like Postman, and a natural instinct for identifying failure modes and edge cases. You should have experience working in agile teams, strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to mentor and enhance team automation skills. Familiarity with compliance-driven environments, security and performance testing, WCAG accessibility standards, or leveraging AI to improve QA automation would be a bonus.
