Application Support Analyst – HR/Finance
About the Role
We’re looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our IT team, providing high-quality support for our HR and Finance application landscape. This role is a key link between IT and the wider business, helping colleagues resolve technical issues, supporting software functionality, and ensuring our applications run smoothly.

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems in line with ITIL processes.
Prioritise workload based on severity and business impact.
Escalate complex issues appropriately and manage them through to resolution.
Work with suppliers and vendors to implement effective solutions.
Support the introduction of new applications into service.
Assist with the rollout of new features and updates to existing systems.
Contribute to ongoing maintenance and improvements across the application stack.
Work with colleagues to identify efficiencies and process improvements.
Produce high-quality documentation, user guides, and change requests.
Become an SME within your aligned area (HR/Finance).
Assist in delivering user training when required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience in a customer-facing support role with strong communication skills.
Ability to write clear, easy-to-follow instructions and documentation.
Experience supporting technology (applications preferred).
Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, including English and Maths (or vocational equivalent).
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Desirable:
Technology-based certifications.
Experience within the adult social care sector.
