Apprenticeship Overview
This combined role supports delivery across both Administration Assistant (ST1472) (L2) and Business Administrator (ST0070) (L3). The tutor must be able to develop learners from foundational routine administration through to more autonomous business administration, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and improvement activity.
These standards prepare practitioners who:Carry out routine administrative tasks that support organisational operations
Assist colleagues with day-to-day administrative activities and business processes
Use digital systems and software packages to input, maintain and retrieve information

Tutor/Assessor - Job Description
Role purpose:
To deliver high-quality teaching, coaching and curriculum that enables apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for competent practice across both Administration Assistant (L2) and Business Administrator (L3) standards. The role supports learners to build confidence in routine administrative practice, then progress into broader business administration responsibilities, including stakeholder engagement, business operations, process improvement and professional decision-making.

This combined role requires a tutor who can support learners at two distinct stages of administrative development:(L2) Foundational administrative practice, including routine administrative tasks, office procedures, digital confidence, customer service, professional behaviours, accuracy and working within established procedures
(L3) Broader business administration practice, including greater autonomy, business operations, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, decision-making, project support, process improvement and contributing to organisational effectiveness
Tutors must be able to:Support learners who may be entering their first professional role
Develop confidence in workplace communication and organisation
Teach practical administrative fundamentals that can be applied across all sectors
Build strong habits around accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality and customer service
Prepare apprentices for progression into Business Administrator and other business support occupations
