As a Dynamics Developer, you’ll lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Microsoft Dynamics solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and enhance operational efficiency. Bringing your experience and knowledge of Dynamics platforms, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and scalability across the Seasalt’s technology landscape.
In this role, you will support and mentor other developers, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices in software development, while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accessibility, and security. You will also take responsibility for Dynamics and Azure Integration Services development, addressing system challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and optimising overall application performance.
Please note this is a full-time, permanent role which is based remotely within the UK with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices.
You’ll help us by:
Developing and customising Dynamics and Azure Integration Services solutions based on business requirements.
Developing and maintaining customisations within Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 where required, ensuring code quality and alignment with established development standards.
Delivering enhancements, defect resolution, and technical improvements within AX 2012, working with functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Creating extensions using X++ language in Visual Studio to enhance system functionality.
Participating in the design and architecture of new features and applications.
Identifying and resolving complex technical issues affecting application performance and security.
Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and internal teams, documenting resolutions and contributing to the knowledge base.
Implementing security best practices, performing routine security assessments using relevant tools, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Maximising application performance by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Implementing performance optimisation techniques to ensure fast load times and efficient resource usage.
Conducting regular performance testing and analysing results to drive continuous improvement.
Providing feedback on the software development process and suggesting improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
Conducting code reviews to maintain high coding standards and identifying areas for enhancement.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers and business analysts, to align technical solutions with business needs.
The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
Relevant qualification such as: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP), Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM), Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate.
Proven expertise in Dynamics development: demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using Microsoft Dynamics platforms.
Experience with Azure Integration Services: hands-on experience in integrating Dynamics with Azure services for seamless data exchange and automation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Collaborative mindset: experience working in a team environment, providing feedback, and contributing to process improvements.
Proficiency in X++: skilled in writing and maintaining extensions using the X++ programming language in Visual Studio.
Performance optimisation techniques: understanding of best practices for optimising application performance, including load times and resource usage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
