    Job Description

    We are looking for a Search Officer to join our Digital Marketing team and play a key role in improving how people discover Marie Curie online.In this role, you will help optimise our digital content so that people searching for information, support or ways to get involved can easily find us. Working closely with colleagues across SEO, paid media and social teams, you will help drive visibility across search engines and emerging search platforms.

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their SEO and digital marketing career in a collaborative environment while contributing to work that has real impact.

     

    Your Impact:

    • Support the optimisation of content across Marie Curie websites to improve organic search rankings and visibility.

    • Implement SEO best practices including metadata, internal linking, content structure and keyword optimisation.

    • Contribute to content planning using keyword research, search trends and competitive insights.

    • Explore and use AI-driven tools to support content optimisation and automation of SEO processes.

    • Stay up to date with developments in search technology and evolving search behaviours.

    • Work closely with paid media and social teams to share search insights and improve campaign performance.

    • Support opportunities to optimise discoverability across platforms such as Google, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

    • Track search performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO platforms.

    • Report on rankings, traffic and search visibility, providing actionable insights to improve performance.

     

    Key Criteria:

    • Experience in SEO, digital marketing or content optimisation.

    • Solid understanding of keyword research, metadata and on-page SEO techniques.

    • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush or similar platforms.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations.

    • Interest in search trends, Google algorithm updates and evolving SEO best practice.

    • Enthusiasm for learning about AI tools and innovation in search.

    • Experience working with CMS platforms.

    • Previous experience working within multi-channel digital marketing teams is desirable.
