Ideal Schools is a family-run home study college providing a complete range of bookkeeping, payroll and taxation courses to help you become a self-employed bookkeeper or work within a financial environment.

Working at Ideal Schools

Ideal Schools has been a family-run business since 1983, and our supportive, community-driven culture reflects that heritage.

We offer two core working models:

  1. Our admin and management team are based at our Glasgow headquarters. While a few choose to work entirely on-site, most enjoy a hybrid setup.

  2. Our experienced tutorial team work almost entirely remotely. Many run their own bookkeeping practices alongside their roles with us. Some work with us on a freelance basis while others are employed.

We stay connected and collaborate through digital tools, maintaining a high level of communication, trust, and mutual support. Flexibility is central to how we work — we recognise that life brings different phases and challenges, and we aim to accommodate that wherever we can.
